Executive/Coporate Communication
"You don’t get a second chance to make your first impression" whether speaking at an annual conference, in the boardroom, in a teleconference or on a telephone call. During an initial assessment utilizing sophisticated audio and video instrumentation, your voice, communication and leadership strengths and weaknesses are assessed and a personalized training program is developed. Every session is adjusted to address your immediate needs in a supportive environment. Multiple opportunities for videotape practice in a conference room setting are available to enable you to master the dynamics of vocal tone, effective messaging, non verbal communication, and poised delivery. Public speaking anxieties will be addressed utilizing biofeedback technology and practice. Training programs can vary depending on your individual needs, and can be held in your office or by online video. Phone consultations prior and and videoIM prior to critical conversations or presentations are available.

Personal Presentation
Whether you are presenting your message to one person or a group, success comes not just from what you know but from how you express yourself. Your ability to communicate with clarity, impact and persuasion, as well as competence in dealing with conflicts and difficult encounters increases personal power, strengthens your credibility, commands respect from others, and helps pave the way for career advancement. During an initial assessment utilizing sophisticated instrumentation, your competencies in voice, breath control, vocal variety, speech clarity, body language, audience delivery, and verbal expression are evaluated. Your training program is custom designed to address your specific needs. Training begins during the initial assessment. Training times can vary depending on your individual needs. Online videotraining can be incorporated into your program. .

Public Speaking
For most people, speaking in public is a fear greater than death. Learn to present your best self at every speaking opportunity whether introducing yourself at a luncheon, interviewing, or presenting to a group of 1000 colleagues. Initial assessment consists of audio and video recording with playback analysis of the critical aspects of your delivery in a relaxed, supportive environment. You will learn to quiet your physical self as you rely on proven presentation strategies to polish your delivery and convey a succinct message with enthusiasm and confidence. Public speaking anxiety will be addressed utilizing biofeedback technology, breathing and positive self-talk. Training programs vary depending on your individual needs and can be held in your office or by online video. Phone consultations and videoIM prior to critical conversations or presentations are available.

Vocal Training
Call your voice mail and leave yourself a message. Then play it back and critically analyze the sound of your voice.. Were you shocked to hear a higher pitched or raspier voice than you were expecting, or perhaps a nasal quality or monotonous tone? Unfortunately the voice that you heard is how others hear you every day. Your vocal tone can be a learned behavior or may be due to vocal conditions such as vocal nodules which are benign calluses on the vocal folds or even a vocal fold paresis or weakness following an upper respiratory infection. During the initial assessment, sophisticated voice software will be used to record your voice while trial strategies are used to customize your vocal training program. Training for most vocal conditions, requires three to four sessions and daily practice.

Speech and Accent Modification
Powerful speaking requires precise sound production, proper rate and inflection, an extensive vocabulary and the elimination of "starters and fillers." A lisp on words containing S and Z sounds, an excessively rapid speaking rate or difficulty pronouncing lengthy words can negatively influence your communication. Non-native speakers must work even harder to master the intricacies of Standard American English or face being misunderstood by their colleagues. During the initial assessment, your speech is analyzed during reading and conversation and your ability to discriminate and modify your speech pattern is determined. A training program is then customized to meet your needs. Typically, speech and accent modification consists of nine to ten training sessions at your office or mine with daily practice. Online video training can be incorporated into your program.

Fluency Enhancement
Stuttering is a speech motor timing problem that may result in severe struggle and anxiety in saying certain words and sounds. Speech therapy can teach persons, who stutter to better accept their stuttering and to breathe, use smooth onsets and blend sounds together, but frequently it is hard to speak this way when faced with time pressure or a feared word or sound. The SpeechEasy® and Fluency Master are two portable feedback devices found to be effective in enabling persons who stutter to speak more fluently. Fortunately, being able to speak with less stuttering and more control decreases the stutterer’s anxiety about speaking. Both devices are based on a natural phenomenon called the "choral effect." The choral effect occurs when a person’s stutter is dramatically reduced or even eliminated when they speak or sing in unison with others. This choral effect has been well documented for decades.
