Powerful speaking requires precise sound production, proper rate and inflection, an extensive vocabulary and the elimination of "starters and fillers." A lisp on words containing S and Z sounds, an excessively rapid speaking rate or difficulty pronouncing lengthy words can negatively influence your communication.
Non-native speakers must work even harder to master the intricacies of Standard American English or face being misunderstood by their colleagues. During the initial assessment, your speech is analyzed during reading and conversation and your ability to discriminate and modify your speech pattern is determined. A training program is then customized to meet your needs.
Typically, speech and accent modification consists of four to five training sessions at your office or mine with daily practice. Online video training can be incorporated into your program.
